Turn a staffing need into a robust search brief
Create a job profile for international skilled workers
A strong job profile describes the real work rather than an idealised CV. This tool organises duties, evidence, communication and working conditions locally in your browser into a printable working brief.

What the job-profile tool does
The tool guides employers through the information that most often matters in an international search. It turns the job title, core duties, essential criteria, trainable requirements, communication situations and workplace conditions into a structured summary. The result can be aligned internally, copied and saved as a PDF through the print function. Entries are not sent to DACHma Talent and do not leave the browser. Official information for employers is available from Arbeitgeber-Service der Bundesagentur für Arbeit.
The result is deliberately a working draft, not an automated suitability, recognition or visa decision. The same job title can describe very different work in different companies. The tool therefore asks about specific outcomes and situations. During Employer Assessment, operational managers review the draft to identify contradictions, unnecessary barriers and unresolved prerequisites before sourcing begins.
Describe core duties rather than only naming the occupation
Start with the duties performed regularly: which equipment is operated, which trade is practised, which care setting is supported or which guest situation is handled? Add the outcome expected independently after induction. This description makes foreign experience easier to assess because it does not assume that occupational titles in Morocco and Germany carry identical content.
Three to six core duties in plain language are usually helpful. Rare exceptions and internal abbreviations should not lead the profile. Safety-critical, documentation-heavy or customer-facing activities need explicit identification. They can later inform work samples, technical questions and induction steps. Realistic weighting prevents a secondary preference from excluding suitable people who could perform the essential work well.

Would you like to assess this step for your specific staffing requirement?
Describe your staffing needsSeparate essentials, trainable criteria and exclusions
Essential criteria must be present on the first working day or be required for the chosen immigration route. They may include a specific qualification, evidenced experience, a driving licence or a safety-critical skill. Trainable criteria can be developed during preparation or induction. Exclusions should be narrow and objectively justified. An excessively long essential list constrains sourcing without automatically improving fit.
Each criterion needs an appropriate assessment method. A document may evidence a qualification but not every practical action. A technical interview can show understanding but does not replace formal recognition. A work sample can reveal specific skills but must be safe, fair and comparable. The job profile therefore records not only the criterion but also how and at which selection stage it should reasonably be assessed.
- Essential: required before deployment or for the route
- Trainable: can be developed through a clear learning path
- Exclusion: narrow, role-related and justified
- Assessment: document, interview, work sample or employer interview
Derive language needs from work situations
A single language level does not describe every occupational communication situation. Record who the person communicates with, which information must be understood and which errors would be particularly risky. Safety briefings, technical handovers, care documentation, customer advice and team coordination place different demands on listening, speaking, reading and writing. The search brief makes those situations visible without guaranteeing progress by a particular date.
Certificates may matter for a procedure or provide orientation. The employer should also test concrete situations in the interview: explaining a fault, asking a clarifying question, summarising a handover or following a work instruction. Where technical language is learned at work, the company needs time, material and a named point of contact. Language then becomes a planned work and learning field rather than a blanket barrier.
Clarify shifts, location, mobility and accommodation early
Working conditions influence fit as much as technical criteria. Enter actual shift patterns, weekend or night work, operating locations, travel and accessibility. A driving licence should be required only where the job genuinely needs it. At rural locations, the company should consider how the workplace can be reached without a private car. Surprises after contract signature undermine trust and a stable start.
Accommodation is not a secondary detail. Employers should record whether they can provide housing, support the search or only share local information. Costs, distance, equipment, deposits and any temporary period need clear explanation. The profile records the status as available, under review or open. Housing should be promised only once it is genuinely secured; DACHma Talent can support planning but does not automatically provide accommodation.
Assess qualifications, experience and recognition separately
A foreign qualification, practical experience and German recognition answer different questions. The qualification documents an educational pathway, experience describes work actually performed and recognition assesses formal equivalence within its procedure. Recognition can be mandatory in regulated professions, while other routes have different requirements. The tool does not determine a route; it marks matters for professional and procedural review.
Employers should identify the evidence they need precisely: qualification certificate, employment confirmation, reference, training record or specific project experience. The profile should also state which knowledge the company can teach. DACHma Talent can coordinate records organisationally and make the documented status visible. Competent recognition bodies and authorities decide independently; the profile must not anticipate their assessment.
Turn the profile into a traceable selection process
An aligned job profile guides sourcing, Candidate Assessment, the Candidate Passport and the employer interview. Each stage answers a different question. Sourcing identifies broadly relevant backgrounds. Pre-selection records criteria and information sources. The Candidate Passport distinguishes evidenced, observed and open points. In the employer interview, operational managers assess understanding of the work, expectations and collaboration before making the decision themselves.
Criteria should not shift unnoticed during an active selection process. If the role changes, the profile is versioned and the effect on people already contacted is explained. This keeps selection comparable and fair. Rejections can be based on role-related reasons while irrelevant personal characteristics remain outside the decision. The result is not an automated ranking but a structured decision aid.
Approve the draft internally and hand it over deliberately
Before transferring the draft into an enquiry, the operating department, HR and, where relevant, training or compliance should confirm the same version. Review duties, essentials, remuneration, shifts, location, accommodation and the realistic start window in particular. Unknown information is not guessed but marked for clarification. The print view works as a discussion basis; personal data does not belong in this tool.
The subsequent needs assessment lets you send the role, number of hires, industry and target start to DACHma Talent. During Employer Assessment, the profile is refined jointly and translated into sourcing and assessment criteria. Only then can suitable search routes and outstanding prerequisites be assessed responsibly. Neither the tool nor the initial enquiry constitutes a promise of candidates, recognition or a procedural outcome.
- Align the draft internally
- Keep unresolved points visible
- Use the print view or PDF for discussion
- Only then define sourcing and assessment criteria

Frequently asked questions
These answers set out the scope, requirements and boundaries transparently.
Send us your questionAre my entries stored or transmitted?
No. The tool processes entries locally in your browser. It does not automatically send them to DACHma Talent or store them in a candidate or employer database.
Can I save the job profile as a PDF?
Yes. Open the print view and select the option to save as PDF in your browser's print dialogue. The exact wording depends on your operating system and browser.
Does the tool replace an Employer Assessment?
No. It creates a structured draft. During Employer Assessment, criteria, assessment methods, working conditions and unresolved prerequisites are validated with the responsible people in the company.
Can the tool determine whether recognition is required?
No. Whether recognition or a particular immigration route is required depends on the occupation, qualification, work and individual case. Competent bodies make the binding decisions.
How many essential criteria are useful?
As few as possible and as many as genuinely necessary. Each essential criterion should be required for the work or route, objectively justified and assessable through an appropriate method.
Can I send the result directly to DACHma Talent?
The tool deliberately does not transmit full free-text entries. You can copy the summary or save it as a PDF, then provide the main details in the contact form. Sensitive personal information does not belong in the initial contact.
